Currently teaching English at the National University of Defense Technology in P.R. China. Over ten years of experience teaching at the university level in the USA (University of Connecticut and Manchester Technical College) and China (National University of Defense Technology). In the USA and China I have been an adjunct professor and lecturer primarily teaching law or philosophy or English language related courses. Courses taught by me include Advanced English, Advanced English Writing, Introduction to Western Philosophy, Introduction to Western Ethics, Introduction to Business Law, Introduction to Evidence and Court Procedure, Introduction to Criminal Justice.
Over twenty years experience working for several prominent law firms in the USA (including the internationally top ranked law firm, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP, and Rudolph Friedmann LLP). My experience was primarily with business litigation matters with an emphasis on handling legal matters for high net worth individuals and small corporations. Legal matters successfully handled included, but are not limited to, litigation involving: close corporations, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, tax delinquency matters, foreign bank security and secrecy laws, commercial banking practices, as well as commercial construction industry practices. Other legal matters handled include breach of contract cases involving the sale of goods, services or commercial real estate, along with cases involving immigration status or personal injury, as well as various state and federal regulatory issues including complicated scientific, environmental and zoning issues.
